To come up with an idea for a new and innovative shape that makes a clear breakthrough impression, we drew inspiration from solid and empty blocks to create contrast in the spatial design and landscape of the Mia Villa project.
Located on a spacious plot of land in the planning area of Bàu Vá, Mia Villa’s construction site faces west, receiving direct sunlight in the afternoon, causing heat and stuffiness due to high thermal radiation. To overcome this disadvantage, in the design concept, we have divided the special-empty segments on the walls that are regularly exposed to sunlight. The special feature of the wall is that it is covered with environmentally friendly brick material, reducing heat radiation when the sun shines on it. The empty space is the application of wind flower bricks in the design, as its name suggests – creating the “flower” of the sun, taking the “wind” of nature.
With the knowledge of architectural ventilation learned from school, we have tried to incorporate the most appropriate design ideas into Mia Villa.
